Network Segmentation & Egress Control

Segmentation Is the Cheapest Blast‑Radius Control

We make movement almost impossible for the attacker by dividing the network into secure zones, controlling outbound traffic, and using standardized templates.

Segmentation Is the Cheapest Blast‑Radius Control
  • network icon We have set a default limit on machine-to-machine traffic within the network. Only that communication will run which is necessary for business.
  • network icon Even if the attacker installs malware, he will still not be able to talk to the internet.
  • network icon We use SD-WAN/ZTNA templates that enforce the same security in every branch, plant, or office.

Baselines That Match Reality: Corp, Production, Management

Most companies make diagrams on paper, but the networks get mixed up in the ground reality. We have broken the network according to our needs.

Corporate Network:

This is the area where employees’ laptops, desktops, and Wi-Fi devices are hosted. So that employees can do their work without dangerously touching the core systems.

Production Network:

Here, servers, apps, DBs, and operational systems are hosted. Production should only talk about production.  It is strictly prohibited for any user to enter the laptop here.

Management Network (Admin/Ub):

IPMI, iLO, DRAC, routers, switches, hypervisors, backup appliances, everything is hosted here. Here admin can go, and also there is zero chance of direct access through the gatekeeper.

Cameras, VoIP, OT: High‑Risk, Low‑Trust

These devices are high-risk because: Vendors manage them, updates/patches are less available, if these are compromised, they can put the entire network at risk, so we keep them in separate secure “neighborhoods” so that they work and the network remains safe.

Cameras (CCTV)

They are kept in a dedicated VLAN, Completely disconnected from the Internet, Only talking about storage/NVR, Admin access is blocked from the user subnet.
round-arrow
VoIP (Calling Systems)

Only the provider's IP ranges are allowed, QoS tuned for call quality , General web access blocked.
round-arrow
OT / PLC (Factory / Industrial Controls)

Access only via jump host, Session fully recorded, Time-bound approvals for maintenance.

Admin & Vendor Access: Temporary, Recorded, Reviewed

If high-privilege access (admins, vendors) becomes permanent, it will create constant security holes in the network. Therefore, we provide temporary, controlled, and auditable access, so that the risk is minimal.

Access as needed, then close automatically.
Admins work from a secure gateway; every action is tracked.
Old access rules are being cleaned; security remains tight.

Cutover Without Outages

We first observe network traffic, allow secure connections, implement step-by-step, and block unsafe traffic immediately.

Shadow Traffic Discovery: We observe real flows in the network, identify shadow traffic, and create allow-lists based on real telemetry.
Phased Cutovers with Rollback Plans: Cutover is done step-by-step according to departments and sites. If any problem arises, rollback is ready, risk remains small and controlled.
Dashboards and Monitoring: Real-time dashboards show: Attempted Traffic Crossings, Noisy / Problematic Blocks. Tuning and adjustments are quick

Frequently Asked Questions

Network Segmentation is a process in which the entire network is divided into small secure zones so that the damage is limited in case of an attack. Due to this, the attacker is not able to move easily from one system to another.

Blast Radius Control means that even if malware enters the network, its impact should be limited to only a small part. Segmentation, outbound control, and zero-trust policies are the cheapest and effective way for this.

Egress Control regulates outgoing network traffic. Even if malware is installed, it will not be able to talk to the internet, C2 server or attacker.

Only via jump-host. Every session is recorded, and maintenance access is time-bound.
